  3 because the ribs were really good, 0 for the service. Server was very short with us and cranky.. don't expect a tip if the moment you become friendly is as I am paying the bill.

  I get it, you busy and sometimes corners need to be shaved to accommodate large numbers of customers. They shouldn't be food quality and service.

  The menu is full of options country style food options and there's definitely something for everyone. Unfortunately our food was overcooked and it took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. We need probably would have sent it back if it didn't take nearly 15 minutes just to get drinks.

  This "backcountry" barbecue joint is situated at the south entrance to Radium on 95. The parking can get tight, but there was ample street side space available. The restaurant atmosphere is fun and has an outdoor patio. Note: it's either not a law in all of Canada, or just BC, but smoking was allowed on the patio.

  The food was good, however the service was sub par. We asked 3 iced teas, 3 were brought to the table, but one of them was basically water. We asked for another one and were then told the machine was empty so they were fixing it. We were then told that there was no more pop/ice tea available at all. We were each only brought one beverage throughout out entire meal and the waitress never came back for refills (perhaps because none were available?? Although we were never asked if we wanted water or something else to drink). My taco salad came with no sour cream or salsa, and another meal came with no gravy as asked. We spent the majority of our meal chasing our waitress just to get basic service, and the items we asked for. We were then charged $3.50 per drink yet we received no refills, because none were available. Overall, pretty disappointed. I've been here before and had a much better experience, hopefully if we ever come back we will have service as good as the food.

  I had taken a few days off for R & R and decided to stop in Radium Hot Springs. I'd been driving all day so decided to stop and eat. I looked around and spotted this inside outside restaurant called Back Country Jacks. As I walked into their outside area a friendly server came over and asked where I wanted to sit. I replied I love outside! She asked if she could get me something to drink and handed me a menu. I decided to have the T-Bone steak special and it was incredibly good. Dressed with onions and mushrooms were a real compliment. If I ever get back to Radium Hot Springs I will definately go back.

  Based on some of the other reviews I've read and my own experience, the service and timeliness leaves much to be desired. My recommendations to the owner: don't have All-You-Can-Eat events on nights that you're expecting weekend-size crowds, and make sure your staff are zoned. Seven servers barking seven different instructions at people as they come in. Also, servers should avoid using the front cash register if they're not going to address or welcome people walking in.
