  My wife spotted this eatery as she was walking in town, and noticed that it advertised Garlic Soup on the menu. That meant we had to go. The atmosphere was pleasant and many of our fellow diners were obviously fans of good food and European Flavours. We were not disappointed. The Garlic Soup was wonderful. I followed with a pasta dish that also was a flavoured delight. My wife had a stir fry which pleased her greatly. Our server was very personable and despite the fact that she had other tables, never made us feel that she had to move along so hurry up. Dessert was decadent, and for another day on our brief holiday we ate too much - but that is easy to do with delicious, well prepared food. Upon entry we were advised that the time between ordering and receiving your meal can be long due to the fact that everything is prepared to order. Prices were moderate and in future we shall look for excuses to travel through Radium so that we can dine at Helna's.

  Classic old school dishes, great ambiance a definite must see and eat when in Radium. The mushroom schnitzel is well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The venison is absolutely amazing, with cabbage and house made spatzle.

  On the pricy side but excellent service,accommodation and above all else meal. Had the triple A steak c/w vegetables. Also had their garlic soup. Both excellent. Would highly recommend Helna's Stube facility. Would suggest you make a reservation as seating is limited.

  Supper venison medallions one of most friendly restaurant in the world. Alberta Gem. Safe warm place on snowy night apres ski for adults. Great home food. Family-run happy place. Pounding fresh cutlets by hand; Seasoned delicately - Enjoy. Yum yum.

  We've been coming to Helna's for over 15 years on our way to our summer home in nelson. We have never once been disappointed with our experience. Not once ! ( Our only disappointment is when they are closed and we have to find an alternate restaurant. ) This is an exceptional restaurant.
